Richway Detoxi Salt is Bamboo Salt which originated at a Buddhist temple in Korea, over a thousand years ago. It is made from sun-dried salt which is filled into the hollow of bamboo trunk that has been cut into sections. This is then burned nine times with pure yellow ochre. It contains essential minerals and micro-nutrients. It has a high content of phosphorus, potassium, copper, zinc, and sulfur. It is a high anti-oxidant.
Suggested usage: 2 grams 4-5 times per day.
The process starts at the salt farm
Workers who are treated fairly and ethically practice their craft and put their heart and soul into the work they do, using techniques that have been passed from generation to generation.
The dried salts are then packed into fresh hollows of green bamboo and packed tightly covered with clay before being baked.
The salt is baked in the kiln eight times, and each time the impurities in the salt are reduced. The charred salt blocks that emerge are then ground up and they are repacked into fresh bamboo and baked again until they are ready for the final melting.
The salt comes out with the clay and bamboo casing burned away along with the impurities that were in the salt. Though this is not the end, this process will is completed 8 more times before the final and hottest cooking occurs, which actually transforms the salt into a molten state.
